Unknown gunmen suspected to be members of a kidnap confraternity, on Monday, kidnapped Pastor Mfon Udoneke, who oversees Ikot Akpa Idem Area of The Apostolic Church. Reliable sources told Factsreporter that the pastor was abducted at The Apostolic Church premises at Ikot Akpa Idem, where he lives, in the presence of his family members around 5am while preparing for Women’s fellowship prayer meeting in the church. Ikot Akpa Idem village, which is in Southern Afaha in Ukanafun Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State, has recently become one of the worst hit villages in wave of crimes in Ukanafun, which started in early 2017, resulting in killing of no fewer than 200 people. A cryptocurrency startup  Prodeum  has vanished from the internet with millions of investors’ dollars, leaving just one word on their website – ''Penis.'' According to  Metro , to make the joke eat even deeper, Prodium is a medication designed to reduce infections of the urinary tract. The company had said its aim was to “revolutionise the fruit and vegetable industry” with Ethereum. The company had reportedly raised millions in venture capital money, the supposed product manager of the company  Rokas Vedluga  saying: “it’s an idea whose time has come.” The idea? To use Ethereum blockchain to label vegetables. It’s unclear how much exactly Prodeum has scammed people off, but it is reported to be in millions. LinkedIn profiles of its founders turned out to be fake and have all disappeared, with the images used said to be stolen from other accounts. Metro.

Policemen attached to the Presidential Villa in Aso Rock are protesting, saying their Risk Caution Allowances haven’t been paid since 2015. 53 have reportedly not been paid at all, while another 127 have not been paid in full. The policemen have reportedly filed a petition, titled “President Muhammadu Buhari’s mobile policemen plead over unpaid Risk Caution Allowances from May 2015 to date” to the president. The president is unaware of the unpaid salaries, one of the policemen said. He said the fear is that the allowances have been allocated and have been mismanaged. The petition sent to the president read: About 127 police officers attached to the Presidency have not been paid the balance of their risk caution allowances and about 53 mobile police officers that started working with the present government since 2015 have not been paid anything. President Muhammadu Buhari has arrived Makurdi, the Benue State capital, to meet with the state Governor Samuel Ortom and other stakeholders. President Buhari arrived the airport at Makurdi, the state capital at exactly 10:43 a.m. on Monday morning. On August 11, 2017, Nsima Ekere, of NDDC awarded the contract for the construction of Hospital Road, Abak. On August 12, 2017, construction equipment moved into the area and drove around pretending to do something. The entire dry season passed and 7 months after in March 2018, Nsima Ekere says the contractor stopped work because of pressure from the state government. Nsima Ekere says the contract for the construction of the Hospital Road in Abak has been terminated. Now, Nsima Ekere has avoided visiting Abak LGA for fear of being booed. He is the only former deputy governor to boycott the burial of the brother to the current deputy governor, Mr Moses Ekpo. Governor Ortom of Benue State has ordered youths of the state to defend themselves and people of the state from the Fulani herdsmen. This charge came shortly after a pregnant woman who was raped by Fulani herdsmen died right before the Ortom in the hospital.
