2019: IBESIKPO WARD 1 WOMEN ENDORSE 'IBOROAKAM' FOR 2ND TERM

The support base of the member representing Ibesikpo Asutan State Constituency in the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, Rt.Hon.(Elder)Aniekan Uko to continue in office beyond 2019 was further advanced this evening when the women of Ibesikpo Ward 1 PDP and wife of the ALGON  Chairman and the Executive Chairman of Eket Local Government Area, Mrs.Unwana Frank Archibong, declared that their support for Ibesikpo Asutan State Constituency race come 2019 is for Aniekan Uko.

The women and the Ibesikpo Asutan,Eket by marriage queen made the assertion during the Get-Together/Fund Support for Ibesikpo Ward 1 women held at  Boecler Memorial Primary/Nursery School,Nung Oku.

Speaking to the women,the Eket first lady said Aniekan Uko in all ramifications has proven himself to be a good representative to his people so far; making none to challenge his return in 2019.

"Great women of Ibesikpo Ward 1,in addition to coming to grace your Get-Together and Fund Lunch,I equally came to tell you that for Ibesikpo Asutan State Constituency race for 2019, I stand with Aniekan Uko.

"My reason for this submission is not far fetched .Never have we experience such an excellent performance in Ibesikpo Asutan.

"In the three duties of a lawmaker which is lawmaking,oversight functions and representation,he has lived up to his billing,hence my support for him.

"I am a woman that identifies with excellence and Aniekan Uko is one,therefore make no mistake in returning this man of honour to the State House of Assembly,so that this good works of his can continue.

"Even in Eket where we are living his superlative strides speaks volume. So get your PVC card if you have not, because its operation return Aniekan Uko in 2019.I don't care whose horse is gored,but the truth must be told.

"We don't need a soothsayer to tell us that " ONE GOOD TERM DESERVES ANOTHER"Aniekan Uko, continue"she echoed.

Earlier, in her opening remarks, the chairperson of PDP in Ibesikpo Ward 1,Mrs.Kufreabasi Ubong Ante thanked the Eket first lady and the Ibesikpo Asutan representative for putting up appearance describing it as a booster to the women fold.

The women leader used the opportunity to charge the women on the essence of love and unity which she says is the  tonic for sustainable growth in the ward.

While soliciting the gathering's support for new uniforms,women development centre,chairs for meetings and mobility, the women boss assured that the women will continue to support the government of Deacon Udom Emmanuel and Aniekan Uko beyond 2019.

Responding,the Ibesikpo Asutan lawmaker thanked the women for coming together as one body for a Get- Together, describing it as very significant.

Elder Uko equally used the opportunity to thank the women leader whom according to him has been very proactive and also thanked the  women of the ward for lending their support to her.

"I want to use this opportunity to thank you the women for your support which saw me through my re- run election,may God continue to bless your endeavours.

On behalf of my wife,your" Mama Charge"I came with one central and straight message that all of you should be engaged in what will put food on your table for your children to eat .To follow up to my admonition,I and my wife Ememobong will float a revolving loan scheme to the benefit of all the women here to make their economic life better.

"I will also from time to time make sure your welfare is looked into so that you can be a source of help to your husbands"he assured.

Iboroakam, equally used the opportunity to thank the wife of the ALGON Chairman for always putting smiles on the faces of the women,describing her as a gift to ward 1 Ibesikpo who they are very proud of.

"Our very own daughter,I want to thank you for always standing by your women and also am humbled by your support today for always standing by your women and also am humbled by your support today for me to continue beyond 2019.

"It is a promise, that I will maintain the representation rhythm and even do more" he maintained.

High point of the occasion was the official endorsement of Mr Udom Emmanuel and Aniekan Uko for a second term in a motion officially moved by the Women Leader,Mrs.Kufreabasi Ubong Ante seconded by Jane Aqua with a unanimous agreement by all the women.

Among those present at the women convoke were the Councillor of the ward,Pastor David Akwa,the ward Chairman,Akwaowo Ukpe,the wife of the Vice Chairman of Uyo Local Government Area,Mrs.Enobong Ukai,Dr.(Mrs.)Brenda Akpan,party executives(PDP)and other political bigwigs.
