NIGERIAN ARMY ARREST INFAMOUS NATIVE DOCTOR IN BENUE STATE

The troops of the 707 Special Brigade Markudi, Monday arrested an infamous native doctor identified as Tordue Gber alias (Tiv swem) in connection with the supply of charms to the militias.

The Nigerian Army disclosed on Wednesday that they discovered a base use by armed militias terrorising Benue, Nasarawa and Taraba states at Tor-Dunga Town in the Katsina-Ala Local Government Area of Benue State.

According to reports gathered by Factsreporter, the native Doctor was arrested along with one of his accomplice, Mr. Atoo Kuwe Francis, while planning to carry out an attack and abduct one Mr. Zaya at Tse Bente village in the same Local Government Area. 


However, the Nigerian Military in a release signed by the Director Army Public Relations, Brig. Gen Sani Kukasheka Usman, said ''the native doctor was arrested alongside one of his accomplice, Atoo Kuwe Francis who was shot dead by the troop during the struggle to disarm him''

''Preliminary investigation shows that the infamous native doctor acts an adviser for the militias and his shrine serves as a hideout for wanted armed miltias that operate in Benue, Nasarawa and Taraba States.

''The troops recovered a locally fabricated pistol, two Baretta pistols, 11 rounds of 9 mm ammunition, three motorcycles and assorted charms. Other items include warm clothing for concealing weapons, two mobile telephones and three power generators, amongst other items at the hideout.''
