OTUEKONG IDONGESIT NKANGA CLOCKS 66 TODAY

For those who do not or know very little about him, Air Commodore Idongesit Okon Nkanga (retired) was governor of Akwa Ibom State from September 1990 to January 1992 during the military regime of General Ibrahim Babangida. He handed over power to an elected civilian Governor, Obong Akpan Isemin (late).

Obong Ufot Ekaette, from Onna Local Government Area was Nkanga's deputy when he was appointed in 1990.

During his two years tenure, Nkanga, from Ikot Nya in Nsit Ibom LGA, recorded significant achievements. He constructed a gigantic building in Uyo that is today called, 'Idongesit Nkanga Secretariat'. He also inaugurated the station of Akwa Ibom Broadcasting Corporation on the 27th July 1991 amongst other great feats.

After his regime and sometime in May 2001, Nkanga was appointed a member of the board of the Cooperative Development Bank. In 2002 he emerged the candidate for the Nigeria Democratic Party (NDP) in the 2003 elections for Governor of the State. He however lost to Obong Victor Attah.

In 2007, Nkanga was appointed Chairman of the Akwa Ibom Airport Implementation Committee. The International airport was opened on November 26, 2009.

A cerebral elder of the Ibibio Nation, he was a strong supporter of Governor Godswill Akpabio and later emerged the Director General of his campaign organization.

In January 2010, Nkanga was a member of the South-South Elders and Leaders' Forum discussing the issue of handing over from the ailing President Umaru Yar'Adua to then Vice President, Goodluck Jonathan. The man whose birthday is today opined that the Yar'Adua - Jonathan issue was not a North-South one, but was about following the constitution.

Prior to the last general elections in 2015, Nkanga headed the Udom - Moses Campaign Organization, christened "DIVINE MANDATE"

Both are n*ked and the video shows the man handling the bodies whilst he talks to some companions off camera. As to why they would do what they’re doing is already disturbing, but that they even took videos of the episode makes things 100 times worse. RT. HON SAM IKON GIVES BACK TO THE ETINAN PEOPLE

Hon Sam Ikon who is currently representing the Etinan Federal Constituency at the National Assembly has today flag-off a free medical and surgical outreach for the people of Etinan at the Primary Health Care Operational Base, Etinan. The free medical outreach include free surgeries, free eye checks and glasses, free counseling and free drugs administration at the General Hospital Mbioto 2 and all the wards in Etinan Local Government Area, Akwa Ibom State. The outreach which begins today will run till 2nd of February 2018 for all Etinan Local Government indigenes while Nsit Ubium and Nsit Ibom local government areas will take their turn next two weeks respectively.
