 A PDP lawmaker  known as Honourable Mandela Obasi representing Ohafia North State Constituency in the Abia State House of Assembly has got the internet oozing with negative reactions for empowering constituents with hoes and cutlasses.

 The lawmaker who hosted his constituents said his aim of giving them farming tools was to encourage the Ohafia people who are predominantly farmers to be more productive.

The people of Eket Local Government Area have lauded Governor Udom Emmanuel for another commendable achievement by his administration, adding that no fewer than eight (8) ongoing road construction in their area would transform and boost their various economic activities. The Chairman, Eket Local Government Council, Rt Hon Frank Archibong, disclosed this on Tuesday, shortly after an on-the-spot assessment of ongoing road projects financed by the State government in the area. The team which was led by the State Commissioner for Works, Mr Ephraim Inyang-Eyen inspected the 2.7km Ikot Odiong-Ikot Abasi Road, 2.082 Chief Assam Crescent Ede Urua Road and Spur, Ikot Udota Road, Edem Udo Street, as well as a gully on Idua Road which requires urgent intervention.
