BREAKING: COMMUNAL CLASH LEAVES ONE DEAD, OTHERS INJURED IN DELTA STATE

Communal clash raise tension in Delta State as a member of  the Aladja community was allegedly killed on Tuesday at about 9:30 am by armed Ogbe-Ijoh and Isaba youths.
According to reports from Daily post the cause of the fresh attacks by the armed youths is not unconnected with the land dispute between the two communities which has left one killed and three youths injured in the sporadic shooting. 

 Confirming, the incident, the Former President of Aladja community council, Hon. Tabuko Kabedje who was spotted rushing one of the injured victims to the hospital. Said 
” I cannot see or talk to you now. Ogbe-Ijoh and Isaba are attacking us

 However, Parents have withdrawn their children from school as a result of the attacks while the Egweya (women group) blocked the entrance to Aladja community due to sporadic gun shots.
The Delta State Acting Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Andrew Aniamaka has not responded to calls put across to his mobile phone yet but the shooting is still ongoing.

Hon Sam Ikon who is currently representing the Etinan Federal Constituency at the National Assembly has today flag-off a free medical and surgical outreach for the people of Etinan at the Primary Health Care Operational Base, Etinan. The free medical outreach include free surgeries, free eye checks and glasses, free counseling and free drugs administration at the General Hospital Mbioto 2 and all the wards in Etinan Local Government Area, Akwa Ibom State. The outreach which begins today will run till 2nd of February 2018 for all Etinan Local Government indigenes while Nsit Ubium and Nsit Ibom local government areas will take their turn next two weeks respectively.
