BREAKING: CYRIL RAMAPHOSA EMERGES SOUTH AFRICA'S NEW PRESIDENT

It was a new dawn for South Africans as Parliament on Thursday elected Cyril Ramaphosa as its new President following the the pressure mounted on Jacob Zuma by the ruling party African National Congress (ANC) to resign.
There were thousands of applause at the South Africa's National Assembly when the speaker, Baleka Mbete announced he had received a letter from Zuma before Cyril was sworn-in as the new President.
Cyril, 65, a one-time negotiator for late Nelson Mandela and member of the ruling party in his speech said
''Our intent is to continue to improve the lives of our people.''
