BY NDIFREKE JACOB.
The Kaduna State governor, Nasir El Rufai is on the news for allegedly demolishing the office of the new APC faction located at 11B Sambo close on Tuesday.
The secretariat which was opened after the suspension of the Senator representing Kaduna north district, Suleiman Hunkuyi and expulsion of 28 other member following an irreconcilable difference with the main party leadership was Tuesday demolished under the supervision of some soldiers.
The Senate headed by Bukola Saraki during it's plenary on Tuesday made the resolution following a point of order raised by Senator Shehu Sani (Kaduna-Central), who described el-Rufai as “an affliction on the people of Kaduna State.”
The chamber in its decision has asked Governor Nasir el-Rufai to either provide a replacement for the secretariat or compensate Senator Suleiman Hunkuyi (Kaduna-North) who was said to own the building.
Meanwhile, the owner of the property, Senator Suleiman Hunkuyi, while briefing newsmen alleged the governor personally led the demolition of his property.
''The demolition order was carried out by a bulldozer, accompanied by military personnel.'' He said.
