As the World marks Cancer day, Factsreporter joins the World to raise a voice to the many cancer patients both survivors and those living with the scourge. To those families who lost their dear ones to this cankerworm, it's been a horrible journey. It's time to move on and help the world raise awareness and help choke, fight cancer and also support those battling cancer everyday.

WORLD CANCER DAY is an International day marked out every February 4th to raise awareness of cancer and to encourage cancer prevention, detection and treatment.
World Cancer Day was founded by the Union for International Cancer Control (UICC) to support the goals of the World Cancer Declaration, written in 2008. The primary goal of the World Cancer Day is to significantly reduce illness and deaths caused by cancer by 2020.
World Cancer Day targets misinformation, raises awareness, and reduces stigma Multiple initiatives run on World Cancer Day to show support for those affected by cancer. One of these movements is #NoHairSelfie, a global movement to have "hairticipants" shave their heads either physically or virtually to show a symbol of courage for those undergoing cancer treatment.
Some of the Cancer Facts about shows that Cancer affects everyone – the young and old, the rich and poor, men, women and children – and represents a tremendous burden on patients, families and societies. Cancer is one of the leading causes of death in the World.
Many of these deaths can be avoided. Between 30-50% of cancers are preventable by healthy lifestyle choices such as avoidance of tobacco and public health measures like immunization against cancer causing infections. Others can be detected early, treated and cured. Even with late stage cancer, the suffering of patients can be relieved with good palliative care.
Cancer affects everyone – the young and old, the rich and poor, men, women and children – and represents a tremendous burden on patients, families and societies. Cancer is one of the leading causes of death in the world.
